Partnership for Economic Innovation Secures Funding for Wearable Technology Research

Arizona Commerce Authority awards $1.8 million to Arizona WearTech Applied Research Center

The Partnership for Economic Innovation announced that the Arizona Commerce Authority has awarded over $1.8 million to support eight innovative applied research projects through its WearTech Applied Research Center.

The WearTech Applied Research Center and Arizona universities are collaborating on all eight initiatives, collectively addressing various health challenges.

The projects include Medtronic's "Acute Kidney Injury and Chronic Heart Failure Wearable Monitor," CenSyn's "PenEEG Platform", a concussion management device, Hypersound Medical's pain management wearable, ReSuture's wearable capacitive sensor bed, Paxauris' "Worker Safety Hearable," TF Health's "Smart Driving Pad," and TouchPoint's "Thodian™," an AI-powered stress relief device.
